We have all heard how apple cider vinegar is good for us and how it can be used around the house. But what about for our pets? Can it be used for their health needs?
A little while back, about 6 months ago we had an issue. Midget the fluffy fur baby in the pic above got a urinary tract infection. She was usually a healthy happy girl, but one morning I woke up to an awful cry of pain from her. After some checking found she probably had an UTI. We put her on a diet of special food but thought that may take a while to work for her. Since the rest of the family gets a little ACV after a bit of research that was her treatment as well.
For our feline family members can benefit from ACV in a few ways.
-Flea repellant
-Respiratory infection
-Bladder infection
-Urinary tract infection
-Ear infection
-Ring worm
-Itchy skin, and
-Constipation
There are no nutritional benefits for cats. And always dilute ACV for cats and give it very moderately. About a 1/4 of a teaspoon in their water bowl ever so often. The acidity of ACV and the acidity of a cat’s digestive tract can create too much acid in their stomach. This may cause ulcers for them.
ACV also should never be given to a cat that has kidney disease. It could cause death for these cats. Always check with your vetinarian to be sure it will be okay for your cat.
Midgets’ canine brothers also get their ACV. Rambo and Lupin top to bottom.

ACV helps rebalance a dog’s pH. A little on a cotton ball or wash cloth to wipe out their ears. Helps fight yeast and bacterial infections, and ear mites.
Wiping their coat and/or adding a bit of ACV to their shampoo helps repel fleas and makes for a shiny coat.
A bit in their water bowl helps with :
-Blood sugar
-Heart health, and
-Muscle and joint pain.
Of course, Midget has some fine feathered sisters, eleven to be exact. I won’t bother you with all eleven photos they all favor. Yes, I have names for them but, usually can’t be sure who I’m talking to. They all answer to the dinner bell, ha-ha.

A bit of ACV in their water helps them produce cleaner better eggs. Helps their feathers shine.
Spraying it around their coop help repel insects and keeps bacteria down. Of course they eat some of the insects.
I hope this information helps you find more uses for ACV around your home.
Have a great day, til next time;
